Our Journey in Kajiado

The Kenya Association for the Welfare of People with Epilepsy (KAWE) partnered with the AIC Child Centre Kajiado to launch epilepsy services in Kajiado County and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to formalize the partnership. As part of this initiative, KAWE conducted community awareness sessions at the Kajiado Market and Bissil Livestock Market, and sensitized Community Health Promoters (CHPs) at Bissil Health Centre and Oloitokitok. Additionally, KAWE visited KMTC Kajiado, sensitized local chiefs, and trained Primary Health Care workers both at Oloitokitok and the AIC Child Centre Kajiado to strengthen local epilepsy management and health system capacity.
