The workshops target Primary Healthcare Workers and aim to strengthen their capacity to provide comprehensive and effective epilepsy care.
Purpose of the Sessions
This training seeks to improve the quality of epilepsy management and expand the number of health facilities offering these essential services to the community.
- To disseminate and promote the Kenya National Guidelines for the Management of Epilepsy.
- To equip participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively screen, diagnose, develop, and implement appropriate treatment plans for people living with epilepsy.

Measuring Success: KAPS Methodology
To ensure the sessions translate into real change, we utilize the Pre and Post awareness Knowledge, Attitude and Perception (KAPS) Survey. This rigorous impact assessment helps us track how the training shifts the mindsets of CHPs and local leaders, ensuring a lasting foundation for epilepsy advocacy.
Data-driven results help identify gaps in community knowledge and refine future sensitization efforts.
